SAFW 2011 - VESSELINA PENTCHEVA, REGGIE STAR & MERTIQUES

VESSELINA PENTCHEVA

Vesselina Pentcheva known for designing beautiful womenswear with feminine pieces to make any woman feel beautiful both outer and within.  Vesselina collections for the south Africa fashion week 2011 were inspired by the famous Mexican artist Frida Khalo with feminine, lacy and gowns staying true to the brands believes. What I love most were the beautiful head pieces very artistic and how the gowns moved on the models, very beautiful, hope to see more from her in the coming years!

REGGIE STAR

Reginald Molamu the designer behind the Reggie Star collections is certainly not new to the runway. Reggie perfected the easy, comfortable and sexy look with his beautiful collections which  included signature colours of pink, purple and black pieces with dresses well fitted and impeccable cuts making them more alluring and feminine on the models.

MERTIQUES

Mertiques used satin, lace fabrics and touches of lime, again a mixture of men and women’s wear. Both collections had a cocktail feel to it. The menswear really caught my eye on the runway with the suspenders and rosaries, I mean what more can a girl ask for in a man!
