IAMISIGO CXX SPRING/SUMMER 2012 COLLECTIONS

The collection for the Spring/Summer 2012 iamISIGO brand is called CXX, CXX is the Roman numeral representation of the number 70, and the S/S 2012 iamISIGO collection is a 70s inspired collection with little twists here and there. We focused on soft tailoring for this collection, with vibrant colours like yellow, poppy, grass, ink and the ever present black.

Each design has a story behind it along with a concept that was created for it to come to life. The iamISIGO design aesthetic qualities are used to improve the marketability of the outfits: the smoothness, shininess/reflectivity, texture, pattern, curviness, color, simplicity, naturalness, and modernism all go into consideration. At iamISIGO we aim to create easy, wearable but eccentric outfits, that gives off a sense of confident sexiness with standard fabric and colours that would instantly suck you in, everything from the cut and colour harmony is thoroughly thought through in order to make our products suitable for a high number of customers. It’s all about a personality the consumer wants to depict, we at iamISIGO, allow people to express the truth about their unconscious minds by way of their clothing.

The iamISIGO client is eager to be different.

The collection was inspired by the fact that my favorite decade was the 70s. The 70s was filled with fun, color and playfulness with the flared pants, circle shades and short mini dresses, all of which I missed out on, so for my 5th collection I finally decided to bring the 70s back in my own way with all the colour and craziness but giving it that African edge. This collection was sponsored by Vlisco and released in October 2011, at the MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week
