Adirée Launches “Where Fashion Began” Photo Campaign for Africa Fashion Week New York 2011

Adirée, the parent company and producer of Africa Fashion Week (New York) (AFWNY), launches today a photo campaign centered towards the theme “Where Fashion Began”. AFWNY is set to take place on July 14th, 15th and 16th at the Broad Street Ballroom in New York City’s financial district.

“This new campaign is completely different from what we have ever done. We pushed the boundaries and are now offering images that transcend race, culture or language. We are giving the audience fashion at its purest form,” said Adiat Disu, director of AFWNY.The campaign will kick off during the month of May and run until AFWNY with the first ads featuring clothes from designers showing at AFWNY, make-up by AFWNY head makeup artist Renarda Joy, hair styling by Kathy Clark Lewis and fashion styling by AFWNY executive stylist Tori Famuyiwa.

AFWNY is produced by Adirée and include runway shows hosting 21+ designers from various countries in Africa and those of the African Diaspora, exhibitions, and industry networking events.     very nice am impress with this company, I hope the AFWL team can pull of their first show in London its already may i havent seen any adverts or campaign, am thinking of taking a holiday to London this August, not sure if the show will be worth it???

    Shadders do you know if the africa fashion week london show is going to take place, their website doesn not have much info

    this company actually knows what they are doing unlike some African fashion shows ive been, they are soooo disorganised. I wish them well, am so sure they will pull it off well.
