Introducing Lamido Studio – A New Retail Concept Dedicated to Contemporary Nigerian Designers | Shadders

Lamido Studio is a new retail concept in Abuja that markets formal, evening, casual wear and related accessories for women and men. A collaboration of designers formed Lamido Studio in reaction to shoppers desire for unique ‘Off the rail’ African inspired designs. Lamido Studio will provide shoppers with an unparalleled selection of Nigeria’s top home-grown brands for men and women at a wide range of price points. Designers have been hand-picked, and will appeal to fashion savvy customers who value fit, craftsmanship and most importantly affordable fashion.

Lamido Studio provides an inimitable fashion experience by bringing designers closer to customers. The price points are wide and inviting to a broad range of fashion savvy customers in Abuja.

Lamido Studio retail model challenges the single brand designer store and will eventually create and develop its own eponymous label purely based on customer feedback.

“There’s such a huge appetite for fashion in Nigeria – it made sense to come up with a unique dynamic concept for shoppers who are seekingversatile pieces for every possible occasion. When it comes to finding the best style, Lamido Studio offers a range of collections that are not limited to African prints or the ethnic/tribal stereotype. There’s something for everyone! We’ve also ensured that collections we stock cut through various price points will therefore attract both the price-conscious and luxurious shoppers. As the first of its kind in Abuja, we are breaking into a market that is in need of showcasing talented designers under one roof… the talent has always been there, we’re not used to seeing it showcased like this.

We currently stock six up and coming Nigerian Designers and are in talks with designers who headlined at this years Arise fashion week. The vision is to stock an inspired selection of the best African designers in the world - providing them with an opportunity to display and sell products to customers who previously didn’t not have access to brands .”
