At the beginning of the year we were promised vintage and indeed Ghanaian fashion designer IyZaiah kept to her promise and has designed beautiful classy vintage pieces to spice any wardrobe. The colours and choice of fabric is just beautiful not forgetting the beautiful African inspired head pieces that can be worn solely or paired with other clothing. IyZaiah has created vintage retro styles with ethnic bold radiant and vibrant print fabrics!!!

FYI you cannot “Design” Vintage…
Your garments can be vintage inspired! Vintage a Classification of a design 30 year or older! I was so disappointed I have been dying to locate a collection of Vintage African Designer Garments!.There are some elements of classic silhouettes as well as some retro references to a couple of fashion eras but she manages to give them a fresh modern Take!
Lately with the sajuration of every tom dick and harry in africa (especially nigerians, ghana etc) all calling themselves a designer, slapping together some ankara fabric and calling it a day. Am sorry there is no uniqueness in any of their work. I mean the photos above tell me what is unique about it. Nothing - just another african fabric coordinated into a dress.
My africans please be unique for once, every body cannot be a fashion designer - tehre are more creative stuff one can be
