Fashion Business Angola 2011 Set for October

Luanda – The international exhibition of clothing, footwear, cosmetics, jewellery and accessories, called “Fashion Business Angola” starts its second edition, on 14 October in the space of the Luanda International Fair (FIL), with the participation of fashion professionals Angolan and foreign.

The event, sponsored by FIL in partnership with the Ministry of Geology, Mining and Industry aims, according to the fair manager, Tatiana Augusto who was speaking to press, to encourage the revitalization of industry in Angola, more specifically of textiles, shoes production and other similar.

The event will be attended by 43 foreign designers and ten Angolans including 30 foreign models and the some number of Angolans adding that guests will have access to the event paying an amount of 2,500 Kwanzas.

Among the guest designers she highlighted the South African David Tlale, winner of African Award 2010.

Eric Raisina from Madagascar currently living in Cambodia made success on fashion shows in Paris (France), New York (USA) and London (England).

Elisabeth Santos, Avelino Nascimento, Carla Silva, Dina Simão, Lucrécia Moreira, Mia Mendes, Nadir Silva and Tinar Sovenir are the Angolan designers to participate in the event.

The first edition of Fashion Business Angola occurred in 2010 with participation of 30 designers 10 from Angola and 20 foreigners.
