The long awaited list of 50 selected Designers to showcase at the Arise Africa fashion week 2011 is now out(Check the event schedule below). From North to South and East to West, Arise has made every effort to included the best of the best designers from around the continent to Showcase in the next few weeks in Lagos Nigeria. This is going to be a great show, with Tinie Tempah, Estelle, D’banj and Keri Hilson performing, this will be a memorable event without a doubt. We will do our best to keep you all posted, good luck!

Good luck to them i personally have no interest in Arise fashion week, just because the owner is Nigeria i can see favouritism going on. I dont see any diversity in the selection of designers, almost 80% of the designers and all the emerging designers are mostly Nigerian Designers, it will be nice if they will include other designers other than Nigerians. I have Critically analysed the list so closely and i believe there are some designers who do not deserve to be there. I am not hating but Hey what the hell……its my opinion.
pls dont say things u dont know when SOUTH AFRICA did JO’BURG did u see any Nigerian fashion designer there or African designers it was purely South-Africans so that is why London Fashion week welcomes designers from all part and 60% Designers were Nigeria now don’t tell me Londonians are siding us ok now ARISE FASHION WEEK u have 4 Ghanaian in there and u saying what check again not all African designers are there so pls stop the hate for NIGERIANS that’s the procedure for fashion show check NEW YORK and PARIS fashion week how many fashion designers were selected and if ARISE had chosen other designers pls appreciate it o

RUBBISH! IT SHOULD BE NAMED ARISE NIGERIA! Out of the 26 designers or so listed, 25 are Nigerians. How can you have a show about AFrican fashion yet its teeming with Nigerians? The Nigerialisation of Africa…from their movies to fashion. SICK OF IT! And to think some people start adopting their HORRIBLE accent. I WILL NOT be attending & will get all friends to boycott Arise & any of her products. The population of Nigeria is 1billion innit? The can buy themselves rich. Nonsense!
Nigeria or not, if i get free ticket i will go LOL. At the end of the day, its fashion and thats whats important to me, not the nationality of who is from where and who is who. I still kinda agree with all the above tho but i will not touch on that. As long as its a fashion show, i will definitely wanna go
