RUNWAY REVIEW: AFRICA FASHION WEEK – KLUK CGDT SPRING/SUMMER 2012

KLUK CGDT collections made our heart skip a beat, with over 30 looks of luxuriously executed collection, these South African duo made every fashionistas dream come true. There is no doubt that KLUK CDGT and their team have stepped up their game, looking back at their previous collections in 2010 where were introduced to soft, flowing, feminine and beautiful pieces we thought the journey had ended there.

Malcolm Klûk and Christiaan Gabriel du Toit (KLUK CDGT) kept their signature theme going, with elegant, feminine wear to their spring/summer 2012 collections. Their choice of palette was muted with see through monochromatic pieces and soon after was ushered into bright coloured gorgeous dresses and then to black and white hues. Our favourite will have to be the the yellow sheer and lace fabric dress, neatly hemed and looking gracefully on the model above. The avant guard piece has been questioned by many of my readers as to where one can wear this to, but as far as we are concerned it is innovative,  KLUK CDGT has pushed the boundaries, and can be can be considered as the hallmark of modernism. We have a few international celebrities in mind that could confidently rock these pieces on the runway.
