Fashions Finest Renaissance (FFR) has great news for designers and we are pleased to spread the word. FFR if offering any designer that features in FFR in March & April will be given a complimentary guaranteed place at the prestigious AFRICA FASHION WEEK LONDON 2011 (AFWL) taking place on the 5 & 6 August in London. There is no fee to participate in the AFWL if you are invited to participate by Fashions Finest.
AFWL is not about African or black designers fashion week, it is open to everyone that is a designer and wants to attract and get into new markets or just be in an international fashion week.
Please note that for each show we only have 6 places (and some of the places have already been taken), please note that we operate on a first come first serve basis.
Fashions Finest Renaissance Fashion Shows are growing from strength to strength and we are pleased to announce brand new dates for our ever popular fashion shows. Since starting the shows FFR has received nationwide publicity and a number of designers have gone on to greater things, by simply taking part in FFR.
The shows are aimed at brand new or emerging designers as well as established designers that want to use these shows to either launch themselves or a brand new collection that they have. The aim of the shows is to give designers the opportunity to showcase their collections in an affordable and very classy way, in a fantastic venue with professional models.
The fashion evenings are open to all designers of all genres from urban to swimwear, to couture - whatever type of clothes you design you may participate. You can show as little as 4 outfits up to a collection of 10 pieces.
There is a very small administrative fee of £75.00 payable to participate and in return for the fee you will receive the following:
• A beautiful Venue at the Jewel Piccadilly (if you were doing your own show this could cost you up to £1000 plus to hire)
• Models to participate in the show (normal fee is £100 minimum per model - times 10 models =£1000)
• Marketing and Publicity (this figure could range into £100’s), Mahogany & Fashions Finest alongside whatever publicity you do for yourself, will actively market you across our numerous networks to 1000’s of people thus increasing your brand awareness.
• All designers will have a profile feature on Fashions Finest Magazine (normal fee is £250)
- You are entitled to invite your own guest, press ad clients for free so long as you put them on the guest list in advance – otherwise it is £10 per person at the door
- We hope to bring down press to the event
- We MAY be able to provide you with pictures after the event
Format of the Show:
The concept behind the show is for it to be a very intimate affair and moving away from the static run of the mill typical type of fashion show, where everyone sits in rows of chairs and is very distant from the show. The venue we are using is very classy and very intimate so guest will be casually seated, as well as standing and the models will walk amongst the guest so that people can see the garments very close up.
The photographers will be situated at many different vantage points within the venue so hopefully you will get pictures from many different angles.
Show Schedule
- Designers arrive 4pm
- Doors open 7pm
- Show starts 8pm prompt
- Fashion show ends 10pm
- Networking till 12pm or whenever people leave

For each show FFR have space for only 6 designers and spaces go very very quickly, so we suggest that you book your place to showcase immediately.
The show is structured in that there is no screening process and all designers regardless of their level of experience are allowed to participate.
