Just came across Chichia’s recent collection via her Facebook status here, her latest design is with Made by Africa. The designs are casual/ everyday wear with a Tanzanian touch. Yet again Chichia has done a great job with the Khanga fabrics. I have always believed Chichia  is the queen of Khanga fabric,  as an African fashion designer she handles the fabric so well that it reflects in her designs.

The ladies wear brand Chichia by London based designer Christine Mhando. Born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and raised in London, England. Chichia has taken influences from both continents and cultures and translated them into her own fresh style of designs. Chichia is known for using “KHANGA” as i have previously stated above, which is a traditional east African cotton printed fabric used by women as wraps.
