Kooroo was established in 2006 and was inspired by Hebret Lakew and Enid Lanez. The brand is driven by a need to create a women’s ready to wear clothing line that blends sophisticated urban chic with African influences. Kooroo designs is combination of traditional heritage and global appeal. Inspiration for each collection is derived from Africa’s rich cultural diversity with particular emphasis being placed on detailed workmanship. Local workmanship is often used to embellish silhouettes, adding a sense of exclusivity to each garment. Kooroo also place great emphasis on styling women of all sizes while simultaneously ensuring comfort.

Kooroo’s vision is to be part of the growing African fashion industry that utilises local production to promote sustainable socio-economic growth through employment.
