Footwear designer Afua Dabanka of MO Saïque shoes and Jewellery designer Isobel Acquah of Joansu collaborated to launch their collections with a generous discount sale last night it was a  fashionistas dream come true! In attendance I spotted the beautiful blogger Paulina Opoku-Gyimah of Ghana Rising Blog, designer Eva Sonaike , Kamondi and the lovely Cameroonian chicks of fah-schyon blog. The Ghanaian duo hosted a fab evening with stylish guest, and went to an extent to ensure guest were well taken care off with an overflow of good wine, yummy nibbles and entertainment by Farrah who sang beautifully whilst rocking MO Saïque shoes and Joansu cuff bangle in African prints. Had my eye set out for the gorgeous red peep toe shoe by Mosaique but unfortunately it had run out however it was a pleasure to be invited to view these gorgeous collections by Ghanaian Designers and to have a feel of their luxurious designs. Now I tend not to use the word luxurious for every designer on the continent but Afua and Isobel are an exception their work speaks for itself.

Now honestly, I have not been commissioned to write this, but these two designers have done their research well and the word luxury deserves to be used for their brand, Mosaique shoes is not any ordinary shoes. You just have to  speak to Afua Dabanka and she will intellectually educate you about her sketched designs, colours  and choice of fabric/original leather which has been carefully selected and handmade in Italy giving you comfort without compromising style. Joansu on the other hand launched her resort collection inspired by Travel, little did I know about this brand but believe me she blew me away with these intricate, Striking and timelessly jewellery. The Resort collection also boasts 3 sentimental sterling silver and 18 carat gold collections that invite your heart and soul on a journey to charming Vienna with its elegant lines and vibrant red Garnet stones in “Musik”; to play and lounge with the “Boju Beach” collection with sapphire stones set like grains of fine sand; and to fall in love with the sultry yet dramatic “Cape Town” collection with its signature Topaz Statement Ring.
