Solome Katongole is a label that specializes in customized women’s clothing. Solome Katongole is the designer behind the label; she was born in Uganda and is based in Maryland. Her Ugandan culture has helped to influence her creativity in making garments. She holds a bachelors of science in Biology. In 2008 she moved to LA to pursue her dream of becoming a professional designer. She studied Fashion Design and now a graduate of Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
She has honed her skills by designing for and participating in several shows; to name a few she has show cased at Africa Fashion Week New York 2010and Boston Fashion Week 2010 “Fashion Expose”. Solome is inspired by colour and nature.
Her passion infused with her Ugandan culture influenced her ability to design clothes that are sophisticated and sexy. She explores art with fabrics to create garments that are comfortable and make a statement. She mimics art and translates colour, art and a sense of feel into her designs giving her customers the freedom to define their own style. View her 2011 collections below:
