African beads to love indeed, these beads are all individually crafted in Ghana and if you are thinking of tapping into tribal accessories business or generally want to get into the beading business then I will recommend a trip to Ghana where you will discover an incredible bead culture there. These traditional glass beads of Ghana are often referred to as Krobo beads, the Krobo mountains being the main area of production. These beads are made from recycled glass, bottles and other glass items are first washed and sorted by colours. They are then broken into small fragments for making translucent beads, or pounded with a metal mortar and pestle, and sieved to get a very fine powder for making powder glass beads. These amazing fair trade beads have a beautifully tactile quality and another recommended location for beads is just an hour drive from Accra to Koforidua where there is a weekly open market from bead suppliers.
